Our water team has been the full service mechanical and electrical contracting expert partner for more than 30 years and our Hydrovein division is changing the face of self-lay across the southern region.

Operations span a range of disciplines including water and waste consultancy, engineering solutions, project management, property development and the built environment. We offer unrivalled expertise in waste treatment systems, pumping stations, ICA, self-lay water main installations, plot connections and commissioning services.

Design

Our mechanical and electrical design capabilities are respected across the industry. We design water-handling facilities for major utility companies, industry and homeowners. As well as pumps and pumping stations, we design and install all types of associated equipment. Our design engineers are CompEx qualified to work in potential hazardous areas, and we also hold NICEIC part P accreditation. We also carry out asset surveys of the built environment and create full CAD/BIM models to aid asset/FM modelling

Environmental Considerations

We are committed to using less energy in our projects. Our rainwater harvesting systems and sewage treatment plants don’t need to be sunk in concrete, even in areas where the water tables are as high as 1 metre. As well as being more eco-friendly, this has the potential to save thousands in installation charges. We’re also leading the way in eco-friendly pump design with features including low-level cut-off, so pumps don’t burn out by running when dry, automatically switching to mains water when the tank is low.

Mechanical Installation

Northavon M&E have a highly qualified and experienced team of mechanical engineers delivering supply and installation projects to the water and industrial markets in a safe and timely manner. Our design, supply and installation services can be procured as principal CDM Contractor or as a Sub-Contractor. Projects include packaged pump stations, bespoke fabrications and platforms, refurbishments, Turnkey CSO and Treatment Plant Schemes.

Electrical Installation.

Northavon M&E are NICEIC and Compex accredited. We deliver electrical projects across a diverse range of markets, including boiler house fit outs, emergency lighting, fire alarm installations and industrial wiring projects. Within the water industry we have a long established track record in delivering electrical, instrumentation and automation projects. Our process and systems knowledge has provided end users and delivery partners with a single point of contact for the design, supply and installation of electrical projects in both hazardous and non hazardous environments.

Pump System Installation.

Northavon M&E has delivered innovative, cost effective pumping solutions for decades. Our long established partnering arrangement with Xylem water enables us to combine contracting expertise with brand leading technology. Our portfolio of projects includes waste and potable systems ranging from 80mm diameter stations up to the 1400mm dia pumps and pipework for the white water rafting station at Broxbourne for the 2012 Olympic games.
